Non-Volatile Memory Claims Speed Record
May 2000 Issue
Published Date: May 01, 2000
Boasting of a new speed record for non-volatile memory, the M25P10 1-Mb non-volatile memory chip clocks data serially at 20 MHz. The device reads and writes data through a four-wire bus, compatible with the SPI bus. Operating from a single-supply voltage from 2.7 to 3.6V, a deep power-down mode draws 1 µA typical. Other features include field reprogrammability and a write-protection function that can be applied to all or part of the memory. Samples are available for $2.50 each/10,000 with qualification samples planned for June 2000.
