Synthesizers Offer Increased Frequency Resolution

Frequency resolution is said to be increased by four orders over alternative solutions when using the firm's trio of fractional-N synthesizers. The devices bring high performance to personal wireless connectivity application through an architecture that delivers fine step size to support low phase noise, fast switching speeds and low power consumption. The fractional-N synthesizer family is comprised of the PS-1200, PS-2500 and PS-6500 devices. The PS-1200 is suited for applications that require low power, low phase noise, fine stop sizes and fast switching speeds. The PS-2500 is also suited for applications that require low power, low phase noise, fine step sizes and fast switching speeds. Satellite receivers, satellite/PCS dual-mode handsets and multi-mode GSM handsets are typical applications. The PS-6500 can be used in applications that require low power, low phase noise and a high operating frequency. It features a 1.2-GHz auxiliary synthesizer for high IF frequencies. Pricing n lots of 10,000 is $4.90 each for PS-1200; $5.90 each for PS-2500; and $10 each for PS-6500.
