In-Line Programming System Speeds Up Production
September 1999 Issue
Published Date: September 01, 1999
Claimed as the first machine to pick, program and place, the BP-6500 in-line programming system combines the benefit of off-line and in-circuit programming in one machine. Eliminating the need for programming during test, the system simplifies production lines, and improves return-on-investment by speeding production lines. As part of an surface-mount line, it provides testing and programming of multiple device types and patterns simultaneously while allowing production line changeovers in less than five minutes. With eight high-speed, fifth-generation concurrent programming sites, the device programs in parallel to keep up with very fast lines.
