Europe’s Largest Passives Supplier Signs Premier Farnell To Global Distribution Pact July 1999 Issue Published Date: July 01, 1999
Premier Farnell has been appointed by BC Components, Europe’s largest supplier of passive components, as catalog distributor for its broad portfolio of products—BC Components comprises the larger part of what was previously known as the Philips Passive Components Business Group. Under the global agreement signed with BC Components, Premier Farnell will provide a direct route to BC’s passive components for OEM operations having low volume requirements, such as for prototyping and development operations. The passives will be channeled through Premier Farnell’s two catalog businesses: UK-based Farnell and US-based Newark Electronics. Among the passives made and marketed by BC components are electrolytic, ceramic and film capacitors and fixed, variable and temperature-dependent resistors.
